Final Fantasy XIV: How to Get the Demi-Ozma Mount

Alright, let’s be real – getting the Demi-Ozma mount may be one of the hardest tasks in Final Fantasy XIV at the time of this writing. While most mounts can be obtained through special events, grinding, or assembling a decently structured group of two to twenty-four players, the Demi-Ozma mount instead requires a level of coordination on a whole different level. Due to the sheer amount of effort needing to be put in, it has remained one of the few super prestigious items in the game until the DEV team decide to give the Eureka content a much-needed overhaul. Here’s everything we know on how to get the Demi-Ozma mount in Final Fantasy XIV.

How to get the Demi-Ozma mount in Final Fantasy XIV

To get the Demi-Ozma mount in Final Fantasy XIV, you’ll need to clear the Baldesion Arsenal. To even begin attempting this high challenge 56 player open dungeon, you’ll need to first reach Elemental Level 60 in Eureka as well as find a group dedicated to clearing the content. Check below for some tips on how to begin searching for a group to get your clear with.

Collaboration On a Super Large Scale

Unlike Raids, Dungeons, or Trials, the Baldesion Arsenal is something entirely different. Google will be your best place to start as the FFXIV community has created Discord groups based on each data center specifically for Bozjan content as well as the Baldesion Arsenal. For example, if you are on Aether, then you would want to join the Aether Bozja/Baldesion Arsenal discord to begin your journey to getting the Demi-Ozma mount. Be sure to read some guides and watch some videos along the way if you’re feeling uncertain.

While this may seem like a lot to get one mount, keep in mind the below oddities for BA and why the community has found success tackling it in this fashion.

  • The timer to get into BA is very long and if a small group enters and fails, the whole instance will have to wait until it is ready again.
  • Only certain raises work within BA meaning if you’re not aware of this and go in without the proper precautions, one death could result in 55 other players not getting their clear.
  • While there is no “best” way to play any job, BA is so specific in its requirements that failing to follow the lead of other experienced players will ruin the time of everyone present and may result in you being kicked. As mentioned before, this harsh requirement will hopefully go away with the advent of Endwalker similar to how the DEV team completely reworked Diadem in Shadowbringers. Until then though, it’s very much a formulaic type of content.
  • You only need to clear it once but it’s a courtesy to help at least on two to three runs so you pass the good deed along.
