Hitman 2 How to Use Fiber Wire
One of Agent 47’s most iconic weapons is the Fiber Wire that he uses to strangle his targets. You won’t always be able to use the Fiber Wire in Hitman 2. Whatever weapons that you choose to bring with you on a mission are the tools that you’re going to have available to use.
The Fiber Wire must be equipped during the planning phase of the mission. Assuming that you do have the Fiber Wire with you on your mission, you’re also going to need to have the item equipped to use it. To use the Fiber Wire in Hitman 2 you’re going to need to select it by pressing right or left on the d-pad and then pressing X/A.
The Fiber Wire can’t be used in every situation. You’re going to need to sneak up on your enemy from behind, quietly. Once in position you will be prompted on the screen to “Garrote” the character. Press the Square/X button to perform the move and use the Fiber Wire.
If you’re looking to perform specific challenges in the game that require non-lethal takedowns, the Fiber Wire is not a good option as it will kill the target and could go against your score/challenge depending on what you’re trying to accomplish.
