Super Smash Bros. Ultimate How to Unlock and Get Palutena
Palutena is one of the last characters that you’ll unlock in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, regardless of which game mode you choose to play. She is a late unlock in World of Light, Versus, and Classic Mode. You can unlock her rather quickly in Classic Mode so this guide will explain exactly what you need to do to unlock Palutena in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Classic Mode.
To unlock Palutena you’re going to want to use Kirby in Classic Mode to beat the game. If you’re looking to do this as quickly as possible, turn the difficulty down and try to dispatch your opponents as quickly as possible. You’re going to need to beat Classic Mode eight separate times. It can be with Kirby, over and over again. Or, you can use characters that you unlock under Kirby to keep progressing towards Palutena.
Unlock Palutena in Classic Mode
The order of Kirby’s Route is below:
Kirby > Ness > Jigglypuff > Pac-Man > Zelda > Robin > Corrin > Lucas > Palutena
As you unlock each character you can play with characters in this list to continue progressing towards unlocking Palutena. This means that once you unlock Ness, you can then play with Ness and Kirby to unlock Jigglypuff and so on until you reach Palutena. Once you’ve unlocked Lucas you can use any of the characters: Kirby, Ness, Jigglypuff, Pac-Man, Zelda, Robin, Corrin, or Lucas to unlock Palutena.
Once you reach Palutena she will challenge you to a one versus one battle. If you win the battle Palutena will be a permanently playable character. If you lose the battle you will need to rematch her in the Challenger’s Approach menu option which will appear in the Games and More section.
