Pokemon Go Guide: Where to Find Chansey

Pokemon-Go-where-to-Find-Chansey

As Pokemon Go ages, the hard-to-find Pokemon become the most sought after. In the beginning, people just wanted the strong and the cool, like Dragonite and Charizard, but now it’s all about completing that Pokedex. With this in mind, we’re putting together guides on how to find the especially tough to locate Pokemon, such as Porygon and Snorlax. Now it’s time for another one that players have had trouble with. Here’s our guide on where to find Chansey in Pokemon Go.

As usual, please keep in mind that these are tips. Due to the way Pokemon Go spawns its Pokemon, I can’t just say “go here to find a Chansey”. Instead I will provide tips based on where other players have seen them, and the rest is up to you.

Now, before getting into that, there is one way to get a Chansey without relying on random locations. There’s still randomness to it though, of course. I’m talking about hatching eggs. Chansey comes in 10km eggs, which are the rarest in the game. Any time you get one, be sure to pop it into an egg incubator ASAP, and hope. The odds of hatching a Chansey from a 10km egg are still pretty low, probably in the 3% range, but hatch enough and you might get lucky.

Now onto actually where to find Chansey in Pokemon Go. As a Normal Type Pokemon, Chansey doesn’t have set biomes in which to spawn, like water or the desert. However, players have found that they will appear more often near residential areas, and universities. This last one is the biggest place to find them apparently. However, I will say that I encountered my one and only Chansey near the beach, in a residential area, so take that for what it’s worth.

The best advice I can give on where to find Chansey in Pokemon Go is to follow these tips and also to try to find an area with a decent amount of rare spawns. Camping this spot, possibly with a lured Pokestop, will definitely increase your odds of running into one. Still, they are very rare and hard to find, so even increasing your chances won’t guarantee anything.

Good luck out there, hopefully this helps a little bit. If you run into a Chansey be sure to let us know where in the comments below.
