Resident Evil 7 Guide: Where is the Scorpion Key
Keys and Resident Evil go together like peanut butter and jelly, or peanut butter and chocolate, or…I think the game has somehow made me hungry. Anyway, keys! You need them, and they’re well hidden throughout the latest game, Resident Evil 7. Luckily you won’t have to find tons of these things, but the ones you do are really important. One of the early ones is especially valuable since it lets you get the shotgun. So here’s our guide on where is the Scorpion Key in Resident Evil 7.
The Scorpion Key can be found in the main house, which is the one you wake up in after being knocked out by the Family. You awake in the dining room, and first have to find some items to get into the Main Room. From here your adventure will eventually take you to the basement, which is where the Scorpion Key can be found.
If you haven’t found the basement, just keep searching areas that can be accessed without the special keys, it’s off to the left hall if facing away from the front door, in case that helps. Once you enter the basement you’ll be bombarded by enemies called the “Molded”. These failed experiments can be tough, so be sure to aim for the head if possible.
Travel through here and you’ll come to a blue gate, which can be pushed aside without any additional items or keys. Behind this gate is where the Scorpion Key can be found in Resident Evil 7. It will be right in the middle of the room, jutting out of a mound of disgusting fleshy substance. Grab it and you’ll be closer to escape, allowing you to open many new doors that were once locked away.
