How to Find a Pumpkin in Minecraft

In order to begin your great pumpkin escapade, you will first have to find one. pumpkin blocks can be found in creative mode within the ‘crops’ tile in the nature block menu. In survival mode, on the other hand, you will be able to find a pumpkin all throughout the Overworld, pumpkins naturally generate with the terrain in most biomes as they only need grass blocks with air above with a clear patch to grow.

A simple adventure through the world will surely lead you to find a pumpkin patch, villages are also worth looking through too in farms.

How to Carve a Pumpkin in Minecraft

Carving a Pumpkin in Minecraft is a simple process, simply craft some shears using two iron ingots from smelted Iron ore after it is placed in the furnace. Once you have got two iron ingots, open up the crafting menu (using a crafting table) and place one iron ingot in the second box on the first row, then place one iron ingot in the first cell on the second row. Now simply collect the shears! It should be noted that any combination of two diagonally placed iron ingots in the crafting table box will give you shears as shown in the image above.

After having the shears in your inventory, find your desired pumpkin and let the beautifying process occur by using the shears on the pumpkin and you will see that your pumpkin has now been transformed into its true form.

How to Create a Jack-O-Lantern in Minecraft

If you are wanting to get into the true Halloween spirit, you may want to consider creating a Jack-O-Lantern, this is a very simple process as all you need is a carved pumpkin and a torch. Open the crafting grid in the crafting table and place the torch in the second row, middle box, with the pumpkin placed in the top/first row in the middle box again.

You can now pick up your Jack-o-Lantern to place in the world around you.

Further, if you want to create a Snow Golem, simply gather/make two blocks of snow and then stack them up two tall. Add either a plain carved Pumpkin or a Jack-O-Lantern on top and you will have your Snow Golem!

How to Make Pumpkin Pie in Minecraft

If you are feeling extra hungry and want your character to have a satisfying meal, combine a pumpkin with sugar and an egg in the crafting table and you will then have a delicious pumpkin pie to eat. Along with this, apprentice-level farmers (villagers) can also trade you four pumpkin pies for a single emerald if you want to gather them faster.
