When is Deltarune Chapter 3 Coming Out?
Developed by Toby Fox, Deltarune is a popular RPG that has you exploring a town inhabited by monsters. The game is divided into chapters, and Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 have won over both gamers and critics with their cute art style and humorous tone. Naturally, this has left many wondering when Chapter 3 of Deltarune is coming out.
Deltarune Chapter 3 Release Date
Unfortunately, Toby Fox has yet to announce a release date for Chapter 3 of Deltarune. However, he has mapped out how the release of the remaining chapters will happen. On the Deltarune site, he states that Chapter 3, Chapter 4, and Chapter 5 are in development. However, unlike the first two chapters, you will have to pay for them. Although a price has yet to be set, you can expect it to “cost more than Undertale”.
Hence, Chapter 3 will not be coming out until Chapters 4 and 5 are ready to release. Because these chapters are still in development, it might take a while. There was a three-year-long gap between Chapter 1 and Chapter 2, which also suggests that the wait for the remaining chapters may be a particularly lengthy one.
Fortunately, there is still plenty of Deltarune for you to enjoy while you wait. Chapter 1 of Deltarune was released for free on the 31st of October 2018. You can purchase it on PC, Switch, and PS4. Chapter 2 was released on the 17th of September 2021. It is available on PC. Like Chapter 1, Chapter 2 is free.
Fox is also known for developing Untertale which, like Deltarune, is a 2D RPG. The games share a similar combat system, although Deltarune sports many welcome improvements. Since the release of Undertale in 2015, Fox has gone on to serve as a composer on a number of popular titles, including Pokemon Sword and Shield.
